What this app is not

A product that shows a human being throwing punches invites conclusions it cannot support. This page lists the ones it does not support, so that nobody has to find out by assuming.

It is not a coach

The studies are authored solo movement references built from published coaching descriptions and measured against written ranges. No qualified coach has reviewed a single frame, cue or range, and the app says so on every study. A coach watches you; this app cannot. If a study and your coach disagree, your coach is right for you.

It does not assess your form

There is no camera, no sensor, no upload and no analysis. Nothing you do in the room is measured. The common faults on each study are things to look for in your own movement, not a diagnosis of it.

It does not teach partner techniques

Every study is a solo rehearsal. Six of them draw a second figure, a pad holder at pad height in the pad studies and an outline at jab distance in the range studies, and each of those says on the page that it is an illustration of a position, not a partner technique to copy without a coach. There is no contact, no pressure, no resistance and no timing against a person anywhere in the app. Pad holding, sparring and clinch work are learned from people.

It is not medical, injury or safety advice

The warm-up page describes common practice; it is not written for you. Nothing here diagnoses, treats or advises about pain, injury, conditioning, weight, hydration or when it is safe to train. Those questions go to a coach or a clinician.

It is not a rulebook

The rules and scoring primer is orientation. The rules that apply to you are the ones from your governing body, and they change.

It is not affiliated with anyone

No federation, gym, coach, athlete or brand is connected with this app, endorses it, or has been asked to. The figure is a generated character, not a likeness. The references linked from the studies are cited as sources of the principles described; none of them certifies the animations.

It is not a fitness tracker

The journal records what you write and what the clock ran. It does not estimate calories, heart rate, intensity or progress, and it awards nothing.

It is not finished

The studies are stylised. The figure does not simulate cloth, contact, impact, fatigue or expression; punches loop at teaching speed; every clip is four seconds of one movement with a full reset. Some ranges in the specs are open questions the author could not settle without a coach and are marked as such in the study notes.

What it is

A way to look at thirty-six boxing movements slowly and from any angle between sessions, a clock and a set of plans to take one of them into a round, and a private place to write down what you noticed. Everything stays in your browser. See how to use the studio and the methods page.
