How to use the studio
The app has four parts: the studies, the sessions and their clock, the corner notes, and the settings that keep your data yours. This page walks through them in the order a new visitor meets them.
1. The studies
There are thirty-six, in six tiers: Foundations, Mechanics, Combinations, Defence and recovery, Conditioning drills, Situational. The home page lists them as a card in that order and the Studies page lets you filter by tier, category, equipment and favourites. Start at the top. The Foundations tier is six studies and nobody has ever regretted spending a week on it.
Each study page has the player on the left and the notes on the right. The notes carry the phase cues, the thing to watch for, the walk-through, the three common faults, why the study matters, a drill prescription, and the scope note that says it is a solo study nobody has coach-verified.
2. The player
Play and pause the loop, scrub through it, step the four phases, change the speed, mirror the figure for southpaw, overlay the previous phase, and switch the camera between three-quarter, front, side and above. The Above camera is the one for footwork; the front camera is the one for slips and the shell. Three toggles under the model show the current cue on the frame, the target the strike is aimed at, and the path the striking glove takes. Keyboard users can focus the model and use the arrow keys, plus and minus, and R to reset.
Two-figure studies, the pad studies and the range studies, draw a second figure. It is there for height and range only, and the page says so.
3. Sessions and the clock
A session is a list of blocks; each block is a study with a work time, a rest time and a repeat count. The Sessions page has twelve starting plans and three four-week progressions, each of which lists its sessions week by week and prints as one sheet. Load any plan, change what you like in the session plan, save it if you want it back, and press Start. The round clock counts down with a ring, rings a bell, says the next movement if you turn the voice on, and pauses when the page is hidden. Space pauses and resumes. A round that is interrupted is picked up where it stopped.
4. The Combination lab
Any of the twenty-one actions can be arranged in order, previewed, and added to a session as a custom block. Up to sixteen beats.
5. Corner notes
The journal. A session that finishes writes a summary; a study or a running round can add a quick note; anything can be edited later. There is a CSV export. Streaks are counted honestly and there are no badges.
6. Settings and backups
Stance, sound, voice, reduced motion and larger controls. A checksummed JSON backup exports everything and a restore brings it back on another device. Erase training data does what it says. Settings also reports whether the offline copy of the app installed.
Printing
The session plan prints a session card; each progression prints its four-week sheet; the built study pages print as plain articles.
Questions the walk-through does not answer are probably in the training FAQ.
